Can’t stop coming back to this harmony… 🥹💛

Sonata sopra La Monica, written in 1651 by Philipp Friedrich Böddecker - a variation on the Italian folk song “La Monica”, originally about a young girl forced to become a nun which was widely popular across Europe at the time.

I recently came back to this composition while preparing a new programme for bassoon and organ, curious how it will sound in this setting.
